• I have a tabs block set to display the tabs vertically (ie, running down the left-hand side rather than along the top).

In the front-end view, when you click on a tab to show its contents the page is scrolled so that the tab is at the top of the screen.

When you have more than a couple of tabs this gets very annoying very quickly. I wouldn’t mind if the scrolling was so that the tab content was at the top of the screen, although preferably I’d prefer no scrolling at all.

Can you fix it, or add an option to toggle it on or off?

    Thanks

  • Hey,
We don’t add any scrolling to the tabs block. So that means you have something else, another plugin or a theme thing that is adding it. Can you send a link I could likely find that for you?

Ah, of course, it’s my theme’s smooth scrolling which is causing the problem! Should have thought of that first. As that great American philosopher H.J. Simpson once said… “D’OH!”

Now I just need to find a way of disabling the theme’s smooth scrolling, or… is it possible to stop the tabs block from using IDs in the click events?

    Thanks

    Hey,
It’s not possible to remove the ids in the tab links. It’s also there for better accessibility as well.
