Vertically spacing images in sidebar

I’m new to WordPress and am slowly finding my way around. I’ve got 5 vertical images in my sidebar, but can’t see an obvious way to a)adjust the position of the images relative to the top of the sidebar and b) adjust the space between the images.

Is there a simple way to do this, or must it be done by code (which I’m not really into at this stage)?
