Very basic

  • Really very very basic. A lot of easy functions are missed. I don’t know how the Pro version is performing, but this free version does not tempt to buy the Pro one.

    You’re not wrong at all; the free version is incredibly basic. This is actually something we really want to improve and we do plan to begin working on enhancing the free version very soon.

    Would you be willing to tell me what kind of features you were looking for?

    first things that came up in my mind:

    – Restrict full Categories
    – Restrict files or folders
    – a better Admin settings page, as a control center for all the restrictions.

    Category restrictions and improved admin controls are both available in the Pro version. You can see screenshots of those features on our website here: https://restrictcontentpro.com/tour/screenshots/

    Restricting files and/or folders is not a feature we offer at this time but there is an integration with the popular Download Monitor plugin that does allow you to restrict file downloads to members.
