• It’s a great block.

If it would be possible to use this block as an inline block in headings and paragraphs that would make it even greater.

For some people it might be a bit difficult to understand, what “Paste an SVG icon or graphic.” even means.

Although it’s explained in the description and shown on the screenshot, I’d suggest adding a “?” or link the text “Paste an SVG icon or graphic.” to the explainer text.

Hi @chzumbrunnen, thank you for the review and the feedback! The current iteration of the block is definitely a bit more “advanced”. Future versions will allow for direct icon insertion from a library of available icons.

As for inline-blocks, that is a concept that is definitely missing in the Block Editor. That said, there is a lot of promise with the Row block that is now available in the Gutenberg plugin. It makes placing an icon next to a heading very easy. Hopefully this functionality will make it into the upcoming 5.9 release, but we will see.

    Best,
    Nick
