• Not only was the plugin in very hard to go thru the settings for a non techie but I could not see if I had meaningful results.

Be a lot nicer for one control panel that said for best results click here. Easy Peasy for those of us who do not want to overload our already overloaded gray cells.

Half the stuff in the settings panel had no meaning to me. So I am not surprised I did not get it setup to deliver the best results.

Do I think it works yes I have read enough reviews from people I respect to know it works. But none of them said how difficult the setup would be.

  • Hello @flyfisher842,

I apologize for the difficulty of the configuration of the plugin.

I am not a native English speaker, so it was always a challenge for me to explain the purpose of each feature. The first iterations of the plugin contained simple descriptions, but then I started to notice a large amount of support tickets asking the same questions over and over again, so I decided to add more technical details to each panel.

The number of support tickets decreased, but it was clear that the wording I chose to explain all the available features is too technical. I need to review the text once again, and hopefully get some help from people at Sucuri who are native English speakers to provide feedback, make sure the grammar is correct, and to keep the explanations short and concise.

    Thank you for your feedback.

Actually your english as fine. It was the concepts that I did not understand or frankly care about. I just wanted to get the plugin to run.

Before going to all the work you are talking about consider this.

Make a control screen that has the parts that are the most common way to run your plugin on it. One lines in a column or what ever with labels. Say this is the most common configuration. Let them be checked individually if the user desires with the option to select all on one click. Then a go button to run it.

We non technical persons only want the results.

Thanks for the valuable feedback @flyfisher842 !
Hey @yorman ! Good to hear from you.

We’re going to look into providing a recommended setup tutorial, as we did for our paid services that will hopefully allow everybody to see what each feature means and what it does.
