Very good 404 logger
-
Formerly I used “404-error-monitor” (which is very good, too), but the lack of IP and user agent makes it difficult to analyze the 404s.
This plugin provides all necessary information.
The DuckDuckGo !whois query when clicking on an IP is a very friendly detail. (No need to use Google for everything…)
Some minor wishes:
- The ugly warning about caching plugins should not appear if one of the compatible plugins is detected. (WPSC, W3TC)
- An alternate, “quick” view: A switchable view that compresses multiple 404s to the same path into one line, with indication of the number of occurrences. (See 404-error-monitor). This would provide a more compact overview (instead of a very long list) in cases when you didn’t check/clean the list for a week or so.
Thanks for the plugin!
