  • Hi There,

    Thanks much for your feedback.

We have planned for two things from that thread in our coming release.

    1. One is the fix where the search pulls an answer only based on first word. We are making it longer.

    2. Other is the “No FAQs found” string if there are no FAQ that coincide with a users typed-in question.

Is there anything else you are looking for?

Please confirm so that we would verify and it and try to include it also in our coming release.

    Kind Regards.

    Hi

Thank you very much for taking the time to reply.

From that thread I’m really interested in this option the OP mentions:

    1) Is it possible to make each individual FAQ question/post invisible? That way this page would not be publicly visible: https://mydomain.com/faq/what-is-a-multiple-listing-service-mls/

    And

    by this page https://mydomain.com/faq/what-is-a-multiple-listing-service-mls/

I think he means the post generated by the FAQ itself.

In my mind, this would be like a shortcode mode only for a FAQ group or a FAQ, or something like that. The thing is I intend to use a FAQ group as a shortcode on a custom page. I don’t want each FAQ to generate its own independent post, to which a user can navigate (like any other regular post).

I understand this may be an architectural design/decision and may not be really easy to implement in the short term. But I think it’s worth considering.

    Hi,

The Global WordPress search should not bring the FAQ post type results right? While this is possible using some free plugins like this: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/search-exclude/ , we have also planned to remove it in our plugin itself.

We would try to include it in our coming release itself.

    Kind Regards.

    Hi

Thank you very much for the suggestion.

    About

The Global WordPress search should not bring the FAQ post type results right?

    That’s right.

i.e.: in my particular use case, I have a group of FAQs only for a specific group of users. It is used as a shortcode only on a specific custom page I’ve created, and it will be accessible only by those users with who I’ve shared the page permalink.

    Hope this makes sense ??
