• I tried two or three other plugins before this but they all had fundamental, basic limitations such as not allowing full screen display or download being a premium option. This plugin is reasonably simple to use and once the PDF is added to the page, all the options for download and full screen are there. The only wrinkle seems to be how picky it is about the location of your PDFs and the URL you use to reference the location (if you use http, it has to be correct for http/https and have correct sub domain (e.g.www) if any. I first tried these full, exact URLs and some didn’t work. This turned out to be an issue with iThemes security finding something in the URL suspicious. I switched to using relative URLs (I.e. starting /wp-content) and that worked fine without needing to disable the URL checking feature in iThemes. Now PDF Poster please include an option to stop nagging about posting a review which appears as footer anywhere on the backend?
