Very performance despite

Sorry for my ignorance guys, but I know W3 Total Cache must work because of all the reviews. But after installing it, the performance has not changed much, and therefore I know that there are some improvements to make on my end. The problem is that I am not knowledge so I run some test and I hope you can help me. One thing I noticed is that the gzip compression does not seem to work as it should.
