Very Poor Considering This is A Google Product

  • Was expecting a great deal more from a plugin developed by Google themselves. Full of bloat and has many ways in which it can break or slow down your website. Very disappointed.

    Sorry to hear you’re not satisfied with the plugin. I’d be happy to work with you to address any concerns you might have when it comes to breaking down or slowing down your site. The plugin is a admin panel operated plugin, the plugin itself shouldn’t have any impact on your sites performance for visitors to your site.

    If you choose to connect any Google services to your site via Site Kit there will be additional http requests made to communicate with these services. This is however no different to manually implementing these services, independent of Site Kit. There will always be requests made to these services in order to provide visitor insights or to serve ads.

    May I ask what performance testing tool you were using?
