• i tested free version, because i would like to switch from wpml to translatepress. so i contact support for some questions:

    • mobile menu translation is very difficult, because you have to switch to chrome dev tools and then its very small to edit
    • language detection
    • translatation of title of webseite etc.

support answer came after a few days and sometimes the didn’t answer. the suggest me string translation, but this seems a pro-feature.

i don’t understand why you don’t offer a 30 day trail version. so its quite impossibile to evaluate how good translate press is.
why should i buy the plugin when i can’t have some pre-sale-questions? is support also that slow when i buy the plugin?

    Hello,

Sorry for the bad experience you had with our support. I’ll try and leave answers here and if you want, we can continue the discussion over our support ticketing system.

    • Mobile menu translation is possible, however, it’s not mentioned and not really visible in the design. You’ll need to drag the separator bar between the translation editor and your live view of the website. Once you do that, it will force a responsive design of your website and you can see the mobile menu.
    • Language Detection: yes, same issue applies and that’s why we don’t offer a redirect any longer. Instead, we detect the language the user has and offer a popup for the user to change to said language if he wishes. This is in line with Google’s guideline and does not impact indexing. https://translatepress.com/docs/addons/automatic-user-language-detection/
    • Title & SEO tag translations are part of the paid versions.

While ideally we would offer a trial this is not really feasible for us due to the nature of the plugin: open source downloadable plugin that you can modify once you have access to it. To help users make a better informed decision, you can use our demo site for experiencing the full version of the plugin: https://demo.translatepress.com/

    Best Regards!

    hi cristian,
thanks for your answer, we can also continue over the support ticketing system but i’m afraid to not get a fast answer there.

anywhere i get a look at the demosite:
    – adding more than 1 language seems not possibile? https://www.loom.com/share/a03131a3cc9c4341a043dd49f1ba40b0
    – Title & SEO tag translations are part of the paid versions.
ok, but where? i tried to search but don’t know where to look

    best regards
    hannes

    Hi,

Please note this is not a support forum. I do understand being reticent regarding this, but it’s not the place to discuss this, especially since the third language is a paid addon and we’re not allowed to discuss it on the free forums. And so are the SEO Tags.

That being said, the issue with the third language, it’s probably a bug or conflict. There is a bit of Javascript that’s responsible for showing the language when you click Add and it doesn’t work in your case. As for the SEO Title and Tags, they are found in the translation editor if you have the SEO Addon active (again, provided you have a paid version, for which I really can’t help you on the free forum).

Please contact us via proper support channels and we’ll do our best to help you out!

    Best Regards!
