• A little thought in regards to the rollout of this plugin and the demise of Ultimate TinyMCE would have saved me (and I am sure many others) a whole lot of time.

You could have pushed out an update on the Ultimate TINYMCE that notified users that it was not compatible with wp 3.9. Not all of us want our dashboards clogged up with plugin blog posts.

My experience: yesterday I started noticing that my Connections and Events Plugin front-end listing creation page forms would not move between text and visual. I attributed it to issues with these plugins and the 3.9 update and needlessly wasted my time and the developers time looking into the issues.

Until this morning, when I went to change a couple of posts and found that the visual editor was not displaying properly did I figure out it was Your UltimateTinyMCE plugin causing issues. Overall, you wasted a good 6 hours of my time. Thanks for that.

Regarding your new plugin…you removed a whole bunch of features. And I removed both of your plugins.

Ultimate TinyMCE and your new WP-EDIT are Gone, Gone, Forever Gone from all of my wp installations.

I understand your frustration and appreciate you taking the time to write.

If you had subscribed to any of my mailing lists, or watched any of my websites, forums, knowledge bases, etc… you would have seen I have been planning this transition for about six months. I updated the readme in my Ultimate Tinymce plugin a month ago… addressing the update.

This is a MAJOR update to WordPress; a MAJOR update to TinyMCE; and a MAJOR update to my plugins. There are going to be many features gone… replaced… new features added… etc. I can’t simply “make it like it was before”.

I’m sorry to see you go.

I’m also sorry for wasting your time. I agree, I can rollout a new update. But, how many people will click the button to read the information first.. before just installing the update.. and then wondering why it is not working?

That’s why I updated my pages months ago.
