Very Simple, left hand navigation theme

  • Why do 99% of free themes on www.ads-software.com have categories on the right hand side? People look to the left naturally to navigate, NOT THE RIGHT. Just look at Igoogle, instructables, dummies, new york times. Hello, on all these sites, nav is on the LEFT. Yet all the themes on wp have it on the right? I just don’t get it.
    I tried searching wp for “left hand navigation” and I get very few results.

  • People look to the left naturally to navigate, NOT THE RIGHT.

    Firstly, that only applies in countries that use left-to-right languages. Secondly, eye-tracking suggests that users do look to the right as well.

    But if it bothers you, create a new theme with a left-hand navigation menu and submit to the Theme Repository.
