Hi, i really don’t have a clue when it comes to coding and editing the templates, but i woundered if someone could help.

Basically, waht would i have to do, or even better what specific code would i need to have an extremely basic template, consisting of no sidebars or nothing, no header, just each post, with a “posted by” part at the bottom and the date…and the ability to attatch pics and files. Also right at the bottom of the page, i would like the link to the archives. Can anyone help me?

I guess you want a simple THEME (which, of course, might have different templates).
Please, study the Codex, especially the Blog Desing and Layout section.

Yes bobd341, that is exactly what i’m looking for (https://img213.exs.cx/img213/5199/verysimple6yy.jpg)..the only change that i would like is if possible the font could be arial narrow and size 10pt?…thanks very much man! Any chance you could mail it to me [email protected] ?

Ahh, I will be waiting for you to get online Bob, because that theme is EXACTLY what I would like also. I’m a self-teacher and I don’t want to play with a complicated theme (to most of you themes might be simple, but more than a few lines of code for me is complicated until I get the hang ot it!) I’ve got html down on the back of my hand + tables + div layers and a lot of amazing images to boot, but I gotta learn this code now…
