Wish I had found these topics before upgrading. I have the same issue, it seems to be ?“The reason it’s slow is that it is waiting for WooCommerce to validate that the payment session has the right content. This is what takes so long.” according to my payment plugin support

I suggest that you start a new thread with your case, so that we don’t mix several troubleshooting sessions in one thread.

Even if the symptoms are the same, perhaps the underlying problem is different in your case.

the underlaying cause was woocomerce 8.5.1, I downgraded to 8.4.0 and I am back in business. So something is definitely wrong with the 8.5.x versions. And yes I tried 8.5.2 as well same problem.
