Very slow loading site

  • please excuse my ignorance , this is my first post and im by no means an expert. Our site has been running superbly since we set it up about a year ago, but now it is taking forever to load, and we are receiving a lot of e-mails from customers who have gone elsewhere due to this. the site is wwww.alysinkyfingers.co.uk

    Any help would be much appreciated, but please keep it as simple as possible.

  • Try disabling any plugins you have and then enable them one at a time. After that try switching to a different theme and see if the problem persists.

    Thanks for that, have been down the plug in route, with no success, the same with altering the theme.

    Have you tried renaming your plugins folder briefly? Sometimes inactive plugins can still cause issues.

    I would drop your host an email and make sure it isn’t an issue their end.

    Could also try a caching plugin such as W3 Total Cache
