    Hi!

After updating to the latest releases (14 / 14.0.1 / 14.0.2), the site has become very slow to load both the backend and the frontend, so much so that I had to downgrade the plugin to the previous version, or 13.

Is it possible to do something or is it preferable not to update the plugin? Thanks!

    The same issue with 14.0.4.

After plugin update, it instantly doubles the server load.

Seeing a bunch of slow queries running, that could be the cause:

    SELECT post_id, meta_value FROM wp_postmeta WHERE meta_key = '_wp_attached_file' AND meta_value = '...'

@doppiar We are sorry to hear that you are having an issue with the Yoast SEO plugin, and we’d be more than happy to investigate the matter further for you.

Can you please update the Yoast SEO plugin to the latest version v14.0.4 to check whether this resolves the issue for you?

In addition, please make sure that you have also performed the indexables analysis option from the Yoast SEO → Tools page.

@krstarica @joopiepoopie We understand you are also experiencing a similar issue with the Yoast SEO plugin. We recommend you please submit a new thread and we’d be happy to address it.

Thanks for the reply. As soon as I update to the latest version, the Blog becomes of an absurd slowness, completely blocked, both in the backend and in the frontend, so much so that it doesn’t even let me start the “Indexable Analysis”!

@doppiar @joopiepoopie @krstarica We’re really sorry for the difficulties you experienced with the plugin. We’ve been working hard to resolve all the issues that have been reported. You can read more about that in our blog post here: https://developer.yoast.com/blog/yoast-seo-14-0-x/

The current release of the plugin is version 14.0.4. Can you please update to that version and see if that resolves the issue?

After updating, you may need to run the indexation again via the Tools Tab in your Yoast SEO plugin. For sites with more than 10,000 posts, we advise using the WP CLI command to do the indexation on the server. You can read more about this here: https://yoa.st/wp-cli-index

If you cannot use the button, then you may need to:

      1. Install & activate the Yoast Test Helper plugin.
      2. Go to Tools -> Yoast Test?
      3. Hit the “Reset indexables & migrations” button
?4. Try the optimize button again

    Hi @doppiar ,

We recently released Yoast SEO 14.1. Can you please confirm if you’re still having issues even with the latest release?

This thread has been marked as resolved due to a lack of activity. You’re always welcome to re-open this topic.

    Thanks for understanding!

It’s not resolved. People just got tired of the excuses and no results and stopped coming back because they swapped to another product. Including us.

Absolutely! The problem is not resolved and I certainly can’t afford to keep my site down or increase the load times by more than two minutes, even causing the server to time out!
