• Hi,
I was using EWWW till 3 days ago, and because of the reviews I replaced it with resmush.it. On other websites is working fine, websites that have no interaction with user uploads. But one of my websites, that works as a directory, where users can upload their own listings and images, is taking forever to load 10-20 images. As an exemple, the time took EWWW to upload and optimize 15 images is equal to the time it takes resmush.it to upload and optimize 3 images.
Other than that is a very user friendly plugin and does the job better and faster then others. When the images comes from back end.
If you have any tips on how i can improve the upload time, please let me know.
    Regards.

    Hi Wpos,

    Thanks for using our plugin
I think that the most different behaviour between EWWW and reSmush.it is that reSmush.it plugin is optimizing on upload All the images sizes linked to a pictures. That’s why, when you upload a picture, it will optimize several pictures in the same time (on a basic WP installation, it’s often 4 or 5 files optimized for 1 image uploaded).

One idea here would be to avoid reSmush.it optimization on upload and execute it later (using a cron). This feature is in development from our side, but if you’re up to, you can try to handle it in your WP code ??

    Best regards,
    Charles

PS: do not hesitate to rate our plugin if you liked it ??
