Very Strange Issue

    Hi,

    I have found a very strange issues which I am really struggling to find the solution for.

    The website in question is https://www.mwtractors.com

    If I view this website in Chrome, Firefox etc the website displays ok however if I view it in Internet Explorer I receive numerous javascript errors.

    I have tried re-uploading all WordPress files, disabling all plugins, using the default theme etc and the problem is still there.

    As a test I installed a new version of WordPress into a new directory and then pointed the initital WordPress installation at this new database and the errors were not displayed. However, as soon as I pointed the WordPress install back at the original database and the problem comes back.

    Therefore I can only presume that there is something in the database that is causing these issues but I cannot find it.

    Can anyone assist in any way?

    Any advice would be highly appreciated.

    Hi,

    This is typical – as soon as I log this post I find the issue!

    The issue was my fault and not that of WordPress. The encoding for some reason was set to UTF-7 when it should have been UTF-8.

    As soon as I changed it the website started working fine in all browsers.
