Really helpful when you want to create a custom folder structure for your media files. From experience I highly suggest to use WPMLF plugin also for the upload of media files instead of the Media Library as that might create confusion and database issues. I only use the Media Library view to list out media files and specify the names and alt names of these accordingly.
