I have a page inside my site https://www.nuove-vie.it that will be published on Thursday, Jan. 5th, 2023. The YoastSEO Version is 19.13.

I get an orange semaphore and the following:

? Outbound links: No outbound links appear in this page. Add some!
? Text length: The text contains 184 words. This is far below the recommended minimum of 300 words. Add more content.

The problem is that Outbound links are 13, and the words used in the Post are 880.

    Any idea?

    Thank you.

  • Hi @jumborex,

Thank you for using Yoast SEO and for reaching out!

Yoast SEO analyzes the default WordPress content areas like the title, URL, the main content box (WordPress editor). If you are adding your content through other plugin or theme content boxes (as most page builders do), Yoast SEO may not be able to detect it by default. Currently, we are compatible with the Elementor page builder. The Yoast SEO Elementor integration is free to use for everyone; no premium or add-on is required for core functionality.

If you are using a plugin or theme that doesn’t send their content to our page analysis, please reach out to the author or developer to request an integration feature for better SEO compatibility. Our development team provides information about creating a custom integration here.

Although our plugin does not detect your content and shows an incorrect analysis report, this does not affect how search engines crawl and analyze your site. Search engines process the front end of your site and will detect your content.

Thank you, but I think this is not my case.

I use the old Classic Editor (not Gutenberg), and yes, I have a theme, but not using it in this post. This means that only the Classic Editor is involved.

I use this method for almost all my posts, and before YoastSEO Version 19.13 it was working as expected.

    @jumborex

I understand that, for some reason, an incorrect assessment for ‘text length’ and ‘outbound links’ was noticed on one of your posts. You also mentioned that it was working fine before v19.13. Did you make any changes recently that might have affected this behavior?

Please provide the answers to the following:

    • Have you performed a conflict check? If not, please do so. Did you discover a conflict?
    • Does the issue occur when using a default theme with only Yoast SEO active?
    • Is the issue specific to a certain part of your site, like posts, products, categories, etc?
    • Does the issue happen for a new post/page with no content?
    • Does the issue occur with a newer version of WordPress?
    • Please check the browser console for errors. How to find JavaScript errors with your browser’s console?

We look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you again, but the situation is really strange.

    • I cannot perform conflict check, or I do not understand how to do it
    • With any default theme nothing changes.
    • This issue seems specific only with this post: I didn’t make any other post after this at the moment, but the previous posts mantain the green semaphore as before.
    • I made an empy post, as requested, but of course, it shows red semaphore, and red quill.
    • The version of WordPress used is the last available: 6.1.1
    • The ?browser console reports:
JQMIGRATE: Migrate is installed, version 3.3.2
plugin.min.js?ver=49110-20201110:1 Deprecated TinyMCE API call: .onNodeChange.add(..)

As I said thank you again.

    Hello @jumborex

We recently released Yoast SEO 19.14; does the issue persist after updating to that version?

    (@jumborex)

Yea, I’ve got the version 19.14, but the result is the same. Strange is that apparently only this post shows the problem!

    Hello @jumborex

It’s quite strange that the problem is on that single post. If you copy the contents of that post to a new post, what do you notice?

Regarding performing a conflict check, the fastest way to rule out any conflict is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Twenty.

Please test this on your development or staging site if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin has a troubleshooting mode, which does not affect normal visitors to your site.

If you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process: How to check for plugin conflicts

If you feel uncomfortable doing this yourself or if this does not solve your issue, our Yoast SEO Premium plugin comes with one year of (technical) support.

Ok, nothing changes making a new Post.

I have inserted the Post in a site that I do not consider if not for trial, and this is the aspect of the post I’m talking of: https://www.giambalvo.cloud/una-intervista-per-il-2022/

I’m open to any suggestion, but the volume of people lookin at my blogs do not justify buying Yoast Premium.

    Hello @jumborex

Thanks for sharing the affected post.

I see that you use the <blockquote> in the content. The Yoast SEO content analysis does not analyze content in Blockquote. You can read the discussion on?GitHub. I recommend optimizing your content within a Paragraph block first before adding the content to a Blockquote.

And though our plugin does not detect Blockquote content, this does not affect how search engines crawl and analyze your site. Search engines process the front end of your site and will detect your content.

I see! And I’ve seen the discussion. The problem (using Italian as primary Language) is that the readability rating (the quill, if I understand well) is often ignored. One of the main troubles with Yoast SEO is that it appears cut for the English Language. <blockquote>is ‘text’ for me, and I use it only to obtain a graphical effect.

But, yes! I understand and in the future I will check the quality of all pages before inserting the <blockquote>.

    Thank you all.
