Video addon

Hi again,

I now have this video addon and it does nothing. It is activated with simple lightbox plugin. Pictres are working with simple lightbox popup. Youtube and vimeo start inside webpage like before i added this video addon. Waiting feedback, Thank you.

I am using latest version: 2.7.1 and 0.2 video addon

Ok it started to work, but only with text link, why it works only like this?

Hi, SLB opens supported links in a lightbox. The Video add-on adds support for opening video links (e.g. YouTube and Vimeo) in the lightbox.

Just like SLB-itself, the Video add-on only focuses on what is displayed in the lightbox, allowing you to retain full control over the content and appearance of your pages and posts. This allows you to create any type of links, from video thumbnail images to basic text links, that can open a video in the lightbox.

Also, for the most direct support, please use the support links provided in the documentation accompanying the Video add-on. This forum is for the core SLB plugin itself, so I don’t always see support requests for add-ons here.

For my site this video addon does not open youtube/vimeo links, it opens only basic text links. How to i get it work with standard youtube/vimeo links/thumbnails, not only text links?

Hi, the example link you provided in your first post only includes an embedded YouTube player (no links).

Embedded players play the video directly on the page, while SLB and the Video add-on allow you to skip the extra loading time of the embedded player on the page, and instead play the video in a lightbox when a user clicks a link to a video on the page.

The link can be any valid link, such as simple text links, images (e.g. a thumbnail image of the video), etc. See WordPress’ documentation on adding links to images for full instructions.

If you are still experiencing an issue, please provide an updated link to a page that exhibits the issue you are experiencing and I would be glad to take a closer look.
