• What the plugin description and screenshots do not answer:

    1. Is this a global setting (you specify src MP4, src WEBM, src poster image, .container-class) for a single video, which you can then feature on any page/post which uses the specified .container-class ?
    2. Or can you create various video instances centrally in preferences (with different classes like .bg-video-cats .bg-video-dogs .bg-video-fishes per the different video instances) for use anywhere?
    3. Or can one inserting a shortcode per particular page/post whose scope is then that particular page/post?

The documentation gives a technical clear answer on this:

The shortcode is the backbone of the entire Video Background plugin. Whether or not you realize it, every other way to create a video background (metabox, WPBakery, SiteOrigin) all end up using the shortcode to initialize the plugin and add it to your website.

Have not tried this in practise yet, but if it’s a shortcode, then in theory you can create as many bg-video instances as you want. Anywhere in a template, page, post.

Even on a particular page X you can create video background shortcodes nr. 1, 2, 3 all targeting a different container class/ID on that page X.

From a content perspective your plugin description on WP.org should possibly address that topic in more clarity. It is a FAQ I guess.
