I’ll disable temporarily but I really need that plugin… or at least one like it.

Didn’t help, as far as I can tell.

OK, then lets play the it’s got to be something game. ??

This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.

If you can install plugins, install “Health Check”: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/health-check/ On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for JUST you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site. You can then use its admin bar menu to turn on/off plugins and themes one at a time. See https://make.www.ads-software.com/support/handbook/appendix/troubleshooting-using-the-health-check/ or https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/ for more information.

Is it also and issue that uploading appears to be almost instant for a 300mb file?

The link for the video appears to be

    blob:https://raleighrep.com/188c9405-4fd2-4e10-80f7-2e04b037942a

Try disabling the caching plugin, W3TC.

    Doesn’t work either.

Did you try disabling *all* plugins as noted above? Also, make sure that the file is completely uploaded.

    (@nickmclamb1)

I disabled all of the plugins and changed themes and nothing changed. I made a new page with a new video in that time frame and while the video worked (only on desktop), it only worked for about 5 minutes.

You said make sure it’s completely uploaded but there’s no visible upload progress, it just instantly pops in and I can play the video immediately on the published page.

How big is the video? Please give a direct link to it.

The link I gave you has a 301mb video, the link I tested earlier is 246mb

I was asking for a link to the file you uploaded to see if it’s really there.

    Thread Starter nickmclamb1

    (@nickmclamb1)

Where would I find that? Media library? There is no file for the sedgefield link.

Here’s the link to the test page I put up: https://raleighrep.com/videotest/
Along with the video file from my library: https://raleighrep.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/smaller-fiel.mp4

The file itself is good and plays for me when accessed directly. But the test page uses this:

A theme or one of your plugins is modifying the video block’s source statement.

With all plugins disabled and the theme set to twentytwenty, what happens when you put in a link to the video?

    Thread Starter nickmclamb1

    (@nickmclamb1)

What do you mean by “put in a link to the video”?
