" video cannot be shown" although at youtube it works

    Hi

    I embedded a video over your plugin and since a couple of days i receive the message “The video cannot be shown at the moment. Please try again later.” in my post.

    But when i search for the video-id in youtube directly it shows up.

    What could this be?
    And no, i haven’t changed anything with the config of my page.

  • I am having the same problem.. I have updated plugin to new version 3.3.1 but still it says “The video cannot be shown at the moment. Please try again later.”

    Its working but not Auto Playing.

    With this short code it is working

    That’s never worked ?? You need to use a parameter to get it to autoplay. Try…

    Thanks for your answer. In the plugin installed doens′t say that there is a new version so how could I do it directly in the blog? I have no much practice with ftp.
    And when you install a new version all the videos will work in my blog?

    Your plugins list should say there is, as the version you’re using is quite out of date.

    If you go into Plugins -> Add New and then search for YouTube Embed you should see a button for “Update Now” next to the plugin.

    I have tried to get de last version 3.3.2 and it is not compatible with my wordpress version.
    What should I do? I don’t want to loose my information and It is complicated for me.

    For now if you go into the YouTube Embed options screen, there should be a setting for “YouTube API”. Change this to “API should not be used” and save. This should get your videos working again.

    Longer term you really need to be looking at the age of your WordPress installation – the minimum requirement now is 2.9, which would suggest yours is older than this.
