Video Cover background

  • How do I include a video as a cover background instead of a picture with Full Width Cover template on a post or page?

    Hi @droyed,

    This is not possible in Chaplin. You could hire a developer to add this functionality in a plugin or a child theme, however.

    Thanks for your response! Do you reckon you will include it in a future update?

    Also, how does one go about doing a child theme on their own. I have no IT background and so any pointers would be great.

    Hi @droyed,

    There are some limitations to what features can be included in themes on the www.ads-software.com theme directory, so it wouldn’t be possible to include a video cover without creating a companion plugin for the theme, which isn’t in the cards, unfortunately.

    You can find some information about child themes in the Theme Handbook: https://developer.www.ads-software.com/themes/advanced-topics/child-themes/ There are a lot of step-by-step tutorials on creating child themes around the web as well.
