Can you post a link to your site so I can troubleshoot it better? I can’t duplicate the problem on my own site running WP 3.9 in Firefox on Windows 7. Does the video work for you at https://www.kylegilman.net/ ?

    Kyle,

I am able to play the video on the link you sent in Firefox on Windows 7, Firefox 28.0

Okay, really weird. Now it’s working with any of the settings. There was an issue in the past with “Video.js” selected where the video showed up funky. That seems to be resolved as well. Weird. It was just spinning before. Well, it’s working now on all settings.

This is the page, the video is set to Video.js:

Having issue on another site, but it is not live yet. Video.js and WordPress Default don’t work, but Strobe Media Playback (deprecated) is. Site will hopefully be live next week.

Your theme loads fitvids.js, which has been known to cause playback problems with video.js in Firefox . My plugin makes an attempt to disable fitvids when the page loads, which I guess wasn’t working before. I would still recommend you figure out a way to not load fitvids.js if you can.

Is there any harm using Strobe? Not really sure what the difference is.

It’s a Flash-only player and hasn’t been updated since 2011. It was the original media player when I released this plugin back then and I keep it around for users who built their sites around it. As of version 4.3 of the plugin I do not provide support for anyone using it, and I don’t test new plugin features to make sure they work with it.

Ugh. Okay. I will select WordPress Default since I have no idea how to disable fitvids.js
