Video not playing until downloaded

  • I’ve been testing and setting up the player and it all works well with one exception.

    When I go to a page with a video embedded, it waits until it downloads the entire file before it begins to play.
    I’d like it to play once it had loaded a percentage the same way that it does on the front page of mediaelementjs.com

    It’s the same in FF4.01 and IE8 (don’t have others to test)

    Your MP4 is not encoded correctly so Flash doesn’t know it’s duration.

    I used both Freemake Video Editor and AVS Video Editor to make them (from an AVI file). What would you recommend to use as a format conversion tool?

    If the plugin was avi compatable then problem solved ??

    The exactly same issue with me. I tried some other people’s mp4 files, those videos could be played while downloading in FF and IE8. Don’t know what’s the matter with my video file. Is there any suggested video converter?
