Hello. I get this error in search console for in-page videos:
    Video outside the viewport

Even I moved the video to the top of the page, but the problem was not solved!
My videos are also in 1080 quality.
Do you know where the problem could be?

    Hello @masouddarvishi1992,

Thank you for your query and we are so sorry about the trouble this must have caused.

This is likely happening because the video is being lazy loaded and when the Googlebot tries to access the video it shows outside the viewport because it has not been loaded into the page just yet.

You can also test the live page as Google sees it using this URL to verify the same: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/9012289#test_live_page

    Looking forward to helping you.

@rankmathteam Does Google want the video to be displayed without scrolling the screen? I brought the video to the top of the page. But 5% or 10% of the page should be scrolled.

Google has detected the video on the page. But it does not index.

    Hello @masouddarvishi1992,

The video is not indexed because of the error initially reported.

Please make sure that the video is seen fully when Googlebot accesses the page and it shows completely in the renderable area of the page.

You can use PageSpeed Insights to see what Google is seeing both on mobile and desktop and see if the video appears in the viewport completely.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.

I solved the problem. It could not be seen on the mobile!

    Hi @masouddarvishi1992,

May I inquire about the approach you employed to resolve this issue?

    Best Regards.

This has nothing to do with Rank Math and also nothing to do with Lazy load, when you want embed video always use enclose code and not copy past share link into your post. had the same problem a couple of weeks ago

    hi @haydrionismae,

What do you mean by enclose code??

    Hello all,

We can’t obviously know for sure but judging by the comment it’s likely that it’s talking about not simply copy-pasting the URL of the video and allowing WordPress to freely add it to the page.

You should try to use the embedded code and control it yourself with CSS to make sure it’s not overflowing outside the viewport in the different window sizes.

    Thank you.

    Nobody is clear in this.
But anyway I will speak my experience.
The problem started for me all of a sudden just when I enabled lazy load for videos.
Doesn’t matter if I embed or if I just paste the URL, the problem remains.
So, I just removed this stupid lazyload and I hope that it will be solved in time.

I don’t know, but all this speed tricks and bullshit don’t really offer anything and always give different kind of problems BECAUSE Google’s bot still really backwards and stupid, I almost given up after 12 years of blogging, these idiobots still unable to handle right almost nothing.

    Hello @alexx1980,

Usually, disabling the lazy loading for video embed does help address the issue. This is to ensure that bots will be able to see the video upon page loading. Let us know how that goes for you.

    Looking forward to helping you.

turning off lazy load for iFrames and Videos solved the problem but it’s not an option since lazyload needs to be on

I think this error “Video outside the viewport”could be because of the discrepancy in iframe width and height on the embedded video codes and the current size.

    Hello @bibuspvtltd,

The issue can be caused by multiple factors that prevent Googlebot from seeing the video properly on the front end of the page. Since they don’t provide the exact reason for the issue, users will have to check everything is set up correctly to fix the issue.

Please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
