Video Player

Hi there
I have added the video player to my home page with the idea that the video can play automatically but now…it happens that i click on the cover image and it takes me to another tab and then click again to play the video then i have to go back one to get to my page.
How can just play it without it going to another tab ie the file to download first before play? I hope this makes sense. Thanks jeanine
