• Hi,

I am trying to use Block Video Popup proposed by Getwid, but it doesn’t work.

I think this error comes from FancyBox. This is the error that the browser sends : “Uncaught TypeError: n.fancybox.getInstance is not a function”.

However, I checked everything and all resources (jQuery, css… etc) seem to be loaded.

Do you have a suggestion? Thanks in advance, Georges

    Hi,

I come back to this problem. After multiple tests, I was able to determine that what was causing the problem was the compatibility with the versions of jQuery.

The native version of WordPress being jQuery 3.7.1. So, I added jQuery v3.5.1 in the “jquery.fancybox.min,js” file and it works!

I know it’s DIY but it works. So, if you have any suggestions to improve the compatibility of Video Popup WordPress Block, that would be great.

    Thanks, Georges

    Hello, Georges!

Please be informed that when I check your website from my side, I see no issues with our Video Popup block. And I get no errors in my browser console.

Besides, the topic is marked as “resolved”, so may I ask you to confirm that the issue has already been resolved, please? Thanks!

Hello @eugenewhite, For this to work I had to add additional jQuery code “jQuery v3.5.1”, in the file “jquery.fancybox.min.js”, from the folder “/plugins/getwid/vendors/fancybox/”. So I temporarily solved the problem. But each time Getwid is updated, I have to repeat the operation.

So, I don’t consider this issue resolved.

    Thanks
