Video post format

    I followed your instructions for posting videos but I really can’t make it work…

    When I use the video format and something like this:

    there is no video displaying at homepage or single post.
    And when switching to the standard post format I get the video at single post page but not at homepage….

    Any clues?

    Thanks Anders but my issue doesn’t seem to be similar and also I really don’t use (and never will) Gutenberg at all – always Classic Editor.

    I don’t have text formatting issues and the other poster gets his video loading at homepage while I don’t.

    Do you mean that the root of the problem is the same?

    In that case, the issues are probably separate.

    If you copy the code below, create a new post with the video format, switch to the “Text” tab, paste it and publish it, does it display correctly?

    No, I tested different ways yesterday and nothing works.
    I also created a free Sandbox site to check if the issue was with my host and the result is the same.
    The Sandbox has expired but I can still access it, maybe you also can:

    Hi @dsl225 ,

    Strange – it works on the demo site for Garfunkel, which is running the latest version of WordPress and the theme. See the “Video test” post here: https://andersnoren.se/themes/garfunkel/page/2/ (created today, but backdated to put it on the second page in the archive).

    The post contains the text in my previous reply, added through the Classic Editor (with the “Text” mode).

    You are absolutely right!

    Here’s what happened:
    For convenience, I copied your readme file into a page of the site and then copied the code from the html rendering of that page instead of going to the HTML view of the text…

    The result can be seen in my original post:
