    Hi there!

    Great job on the plugin, btw! Just one thing, and I’m likely doing something daft, but the size of the video changes when using the plugin compared to when not using it.

    You can see this on this development page:

    https://dev.manonabeach.com/?p=3936

    The first vid uses Lyte, and the second is the standard oEmbed vid.

    How can I change the size on the Lyte videos? Please forgive me if the answer is sitting somewhere right on the support – I couldn’t find it!

    BTW, since you’ve been deep into the core of how WP handles embedded vids, do you know how to get rid of those damned black bars on the top and bottom?

    Many thanks for your help and for the super plugin!

    B

    Hi B.;
    Vid (max) size can be set in the plugin’s admin screen (settings -> wp youtube lyte). The black bars on top and bottom are shown if the aspect ratio of the player doesn’t match the aspect ratio of the original. The aspect ratio (3:4 or 16:9) can also be set in the admin screen.

    hope this helps,
    frank

    Hi Frank,

    Thanks for your prompt and helpful reply! I tested it on the dev site and it’s working a treat now, and have moved it onto the live site for the client. He’s delighted to have a faster loading site and to have gotten rid of the worst of the black bars!

    Many, many thanks from myself and a happy client!

    B
