Video sitemap with wp page builder?

Im interested in getting the Video SEO plugin. I saw a page on the yoast website (https://kb.yoast.com/kb/supported-plugins-of-the-video-seo-plugin/) that lists “compatible plugins”. What does this mean?

is it possible that the plugin cannot detect my videos if I dont use these plugins? I use a theme with wp bakery page builder, so if i embed a video via that, how cna I know before it will work correctly?

Also, is it required to have the Yoast premium as well to use the video sitemap plugin? Or can I just get the video sitemap plugin?
