    Hi Graeme,
    Thank you for the post.
    At the moment, Uploaded videos will not generate thumbnails. We will need some other software to convert that.

    We are working on an addon which uses FFMPEG to generate thumbnails. We are stuck due to the processing needs queues to be maintained and a few other things.

    In the mean time, MediaPress does allows adding/changing cover for video/audio etc by visiting the Single media edit page.

    I’m also interested in thumbnails for viedeos.. any update??

    also an advise: what about making the upload buttons (for video, audio and image) a little bit bigger and more spaced to allow a better experience for mobile users?

    Hi Ositive,
    Thank you for the kind words and my apologies for the delayed reply.

    The automatic extraction of image frames from video will come next month as an addon. For now, You can set the media cover from media page.

    I agree that we should have better icons. Hopefully, I will be able to add it or make sure that you can change it from your theme.
