I’m looking at buying the Full version because of the great additional features.

One question I have: I want to have an accordion slider where four panels are images, and only one is a video (an embedded YouTube video, for example)

    1) Can I do this using the embed video layer feature?
    2) Can the video then take up the entire individual panel and retain its fluid nature when it is not selected (as if it were an image)?
    3) Will the accordion remain responsive?

The only example I’ve seen of video (“Example 4” on your site) dramatically changes the look of the panel and it shows all of the labels as being videos (as opposed to just one of them).

    Hi Clint,

You can add YouTube videos in the accordion with the help of layers.
The video can take up the entire panel and when the panel is in the closed/collapsed state, the video will be cropped, as it happens with the images.
The accordion, including the video, will be responsive.

Please let me know if you need further explanations.

    David

I purchased the slider plugin, and added this code for a video panel as part of an accordion style slider (the following code is added to a video layer within the first slide):

    <iframe width=”853″ height=”480″ src=”//www.youtube.com/embed/yFEndRM1qng?rel=0&showinfo=0&enablejsapi=1&wmode=opaque” frameborder=”0″ allowfullscreen=”” class=”as-video”></iframe>

…but it doesn’t seem to be working properly. The video doesn’t show up at all (nor does the top text title layer). I also tried it with adding an image layer underneath and without.

Are there any tips you can give me? The goal is a video that fills the entire space, and expands/contracts like an image would (as you described above).

    The video is at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yFEndRM1qng

    Hi Clint,

You could be doing something wrong or there could be CSS from the theme that hides the videos; I can only tell for sure if you post a link to the page so I can take a look myself.

It’s a little tricky, because I am working on a beta site redesign.

If you modify your hosts file to point sifuochwingchun.com to 50.115.112.84

then you will see it on the home page.

Thanks so much for looking into this. I went with your plugin specifically to get video embedded in the accordion.

Any thoughts on what might be the issue? I’m leaving the accordion in place so you can see it. Sorry about the hosts file requirement, but I don’t have easy access to DNS to reroute my staging server using a subdomain.

As it stands now I can’t seem to get iframe embedded YouTube videos to show up no matter what I do.

Sorry for the late reply, but I didn’t receive an email notification the previous time you posted. I recommend using support.bqworks.com for assistance requests.

Anyway, I just took a look and the problem seems to be some incorrect HTML markup. There seems to be no space between ‘iframe’ and ‘width’ in the HTML code for the video iframe, and that creates the problem you see. Please try to correct that and let me know how it works.

For some reason it’s stripping out that space no matter what I do. It shows it as being correct when I look at the layer in the accordion, but even if I add a hard carriage return for the video embed code, it smashes it together.

    Any ideas?

PS. I’ll also create an account on support.bqworks.com and you can close this thread if you like.

Solved the issue by adding a “Div” layer instead of “Video” layer.
