Videos from Google Photos Return 403 Error

    Photonic is an awesome plugin that worked seamlessly in my site ever since. Except we noticed today that videos from Google Photos return a 403 forbidden error. Photos work fine, only videos give the “Invalid source” message on Edge while it silently breaks on Chrome.

    It looks like something broke at Google’s end late last week. I see this issue on their issue tracker reported by someone on Friday. For now I would say, exclude the videos.

    Note that Google’s support for videos is very sketchy. Their API doesn’t really offer a way to open videos in a lightbox. I had opened a feature request back in July with them, and via my own investigations I had found a workaround to make videos work by reverse-engineering Picasa’s API. But Google recommended against using the workaround as it was not documented via its guides.
