view ALL posts in widget archive/category

    dear all,

    please help…

    Which file/s do i have to edit so that the WordPress Widgets Archive or Category show ALL posts and not just the amount i set in Options as Max. Viewable.
    I want a limit of 10 posts on front page and when you click on a category, you should be able to see EVERY post in that category.
    I have found countless plug-ins that would help but not 1 widget or piece of advice regarding re-programming WordPress Standard Widgets..
