View full post on homepage instead of excerpt

Hi bestofbiggreen!

Not exactly sure how you have setup your ‘BlogSixteen’ pages; however, you should be able to show the full post by changing:

Edit the content.php file (template-parts/content.php) and find:

the_excerpt

And change to:

the_content

Using ‘the_content’ will display the full text from your post while ‘the_excerpt’ shows the first X amount of characters.

Thanks for getting back to me! I made the change that you suggested but nothing has happened. Is there any other way?

That’s strange. I’ve tested it on my end and it displaying full content and youtube embed videos/images. Have you made any modifications to the the theme?

No, I haven’t made any modifications.

i uninstalled it and then reinstalled it and made the change again and now it’s working. thank you!
