“View in browser” link not working anymore

    Hello,

    I found that for all messages sent by MailPoet since begin this year the “View in your browser” link, shortcode [link:newsletter_view_in_browser_url] is not working anymore.

    Here is an example link from a test message I just sent to myself: https://bcstar.nl/?mailpoet_router&endpoint=view_in_browser&action=view&data=WzAsMCwwLDAsMjU1LDBd.

    When using the link, Firefox gives me an empty page; other browsers tell me “This bcstar.nl page can’t be found”.

    For messages sent before end last year the link still works. That is before I upgraded on Januari 2 to MailPoet 3.56.2 en half an hour ago to 3.57.0; so maybe there is a relation.

    Please help.

    Hi Lucas,

    Some time ago, after I upgraded MailPoet to the then latest version of MailPoet, I tested this again and it worked! I am currently on 3.60.4 and it is still ok; I just tried.

    I also just checked the MailPoet changelog and I find for version 3.60.2 (dated March 1): “Fixed: view in browser shortcodes when tracking is disabled”, so that must have been the solution (I do not use e-mail open tracking).

    I hope this is of some help… In any case, I think I can close this issue as having been resolved. Thank you for reminding me!
