• Hello there! Apparently I posted this is the wrong place. So I apologize for the duplicate. And I’ve searched this in both google and on the forums to no avail.

Firstly, I’d like to say I’ve tried several “embed” plugins to no avail. I’m using this press as a portfolio and I want visitors to be able to visit fully functioning copies of my websites.

    I’ve done something similar here

I like that the pages opens in a sort of shadow box, but its usable and large enough to view properly. (any embed plugins on my site wouldn’t be large enough.) But I have no idea how to make that first example, (with 3 diff JS resources etc.) work on wordpress. Moreover, I was hoping there was plugin that might function as I need.

    So, I’m at a loss.

My theme is a severely modified Infinity by smashing magazine.

You can view the site here

Thanks so much for any advice.

  • Not sure if this is helpful or not since you say you’ve tried a few but
Ceebox jquery plugin can do this. if you go to https://catcubed.com/2008/12/23/ceebox-a-thickboxvideobox-mashup/ and click the example which says ‘iFrame popup: NifNaks.com’ to see a demo.

I can’t remember how to set it up exactly but from memory you just need to include the script in your header (assuming you already have jquery loaded) and then on the links you want to open you just add rel=’ceebox’ or something similar… you’ll need to read the docs but I remember it being easy.

Thanks patnz, I gave that a try. The Demo looked good but I guess I’m not fluent enough in wordpress to make it work. I can follow the instructions and do it if I were just adding it to an HTML site. But I’m not sure where to upload the files or make the modifications on a wordpress install.
