Localisation and Author List

  • Hi there,

    Is there a way to adapt the post count based on the current selected language

    I have an author with 10 posts, however we run 3 languages. When the user selected a specific language he still sees 10 posts in the author overview. Still when the user clicks on that author he only sees the posts of the current selected language… Which could be zero…

    So I am looking into a way to display either the correct amount for that language. Or the option to actually see all posts…

    Hi,

    Correct, the count does not take into account the language, it shows the total number of posts attributed to that author.

    We can’t make it so you can see all the posts in the archive, that part is outside of the authors list, the archive is handled by WP and the theme, and the language limitation by the multi-language plugin you are using.

    But we can modify the count that’s shown in the authors list. Which multi-language plugin are you using? WPML?

    It appears that my issues lies elsewhere. I am using

    PublishPress Authors by https://publishpress.com/

    The moment i activate this plugin, all my archives are gone.

    Not sure what causes this.

    Does the issue go away if our plugin is deactivated? If not, then you’ll need to contact the PublishPress support, they’ll be able to help out.
