“View Site” link is wrong: Everything else is great!

What is the url in Blog Address under Options > General?

Go to Options/General, are the “WordPress address (URI)” and “Blog address (URI)” values correct?

They’re correct.

You know, it seems as there’s a repeating thing going on. What if I removed the address in one of them?

I bet you I just have to remove the address from the “Blog address (URI):” line.

Maybe?

Strange: It says “If you want your blog homepage to be different than the directory you installed WordPress in, enter that address here.” I try to remove it, but it doesn’t go away after I “Update Options”. I wonder why.

I want it to have the same name, you know.

Any ideas why it’s not letting me erase what appears to be a redundancy?

I tried to take the top address out. Now it says , “No input file specified”

It’s not a Redundancy.

“WordPress address (URI)” = Where your WordPress files are located.

“Blog address (URI)” = The address of your WordPress blog (where the header and “View Site” link usually link to.

If you get rid of “WordPress address (URI)”, then WordPress won’t be able to find its files. If you get rid of “Blog address (URI)” then your blog technically won’t exist.
