    Hi,

I can see view_item_list on your site but if I reject cookie consent, no GA tracking is working.
If I accept the cookie consent, the event is sent to GA4.

On your product detail page, I see a GA4 event for view_item as well if cookie banner has been accepted.

    Hello Thomas
Thanks a lot for your answer. Indeed, the cookie consent has an effect on whether the events are sent or not to GA4. The behaviour I described was with cookie consent accepted.

What I don’t understand is why, for instance, yesterday, I got :
    – more than 60 product page views (according to the page view event in GA4) and only 14 events “view_items” in GA4
    – 14 purchases events in GA4 but only 3 “add_to_cart” events.

If you confirm that everything is ok in the DataLayer from your point of view, I’ll have a look at my GA4 implementation… It might be where I have a problem.

I am not familiar with your whole product inventory but if you have variable products, view_item will be only fired when a specific product variation has been selected for the user.

If your site keeps cart content for users, it can happen that there are more purchases than add to carts during a single day.

Without analyzing user journeys in your GA reports it is hard to tell you the specific reasons.

Thanks a lot for your time.
I have only simple products and all the purchase in the above exemple were of one only product.

I see, however, as I said, without analyzing user journeys in your GA reports it is hard to tell you the specific reasons.

OK, I’ll have a look at them then ??
