Recently, I upgraded my blog from WordPress version 1.2 to 1.5. When I did so, my syndicated LiveJournal feed (https://www.livejournal.com/userinfo.bml?user=raketemensch) stopped working. This was odd, as the RSS feed location (https://yukihime.com/wordpress/wp-rss2.php) was totally unchanged from version 1.2. I have another feed at (https://yukihime.com/wordpress/wp-rss.php)

I wrote LiveJournal about the problem, and they responded:

“When viewing your feed, although it is correctly displayed, your server is sending a return code of 404. This is the code for “Page not found”. LiveJournal recognises this code and assumes that the page is not available to be syndicated.

To allow your feed to be syndicated it should return a code of 200 (for success). Note that this issue affects both of your feeds.”

So… why is a present, viewable PHP file (supposedly) returning an error code of 404? It’s totally at that location and can be accessed correctly.

If anyone can point me in the correct direction I would be much obliged.

    Thanks!
