    Hi,

My client has just let me know that 2 of their customers have logged into their account and CANNOT see their order history when logged in. They usually can see it.

We had to restore the website approx 2 months ago from the previous week, but have had no issues since.

So now I am NOT sure about what has caused the Order History of some customers to have disappeared.

I don’t even know HOW I can quickly check the Order history of a customer easily in the backend. I obviously have the ORDERS section that I can see easily.

And I can filter Orders by particular customer

BUT HOW or WHY would their Order history disappear in their MY ACCOUNT area?

    Thanks

  • Hey there ??

    Thanks for reaching out!

It looks like 2 customers are unable to see their order history when logged in to their account, correct?

To clarify, are any of the missing orders visible within the WooCommerce → Orders tab? Can you please also check the WooCommerce → Orders Trash tab.

In the meantime, can you head over to WooCommerce → Settings → Accounts and Privacy and double-check if any of the Personal data retention options have any values set?

If so, you can remove the value and leave the option blank to retain this data indefinitely:

You can read more about these options here:

These settings determine how long your database keeps orders and customer data before it is deleted. If these are deleted, it will result in the orders being deleted from the My Account → Orders tab on the front end. By default, all the values should be set to either 0 or N/A.

    Cheers!

    Hi

    Thanks for replying.

Yes I can see the customer orders in the Admin backend under Woocommerce/Orders no issues.

It is when the customer logins into their account as a customer into the My Account where they cannot see their history apparently.

I’ve never had a client ask about that issue before so NOT sure how to check properly etc on what the customer will see directly at their end when logged in.

All ?Personal data retention?options have any values set as N/A as per your screenshot.

The customer orders are still reflected in the ADMIN backend under Woocommerce/Orders so I am confused as to WHY the customer would not be able to see it in MY Account.

Is there another way for me to check ?

Can I look under Users somehow in ADMIN and go into the actual User account and see Order history from my end in there (which then should be what the customer sees in their MyAccount) ? Sorry I’m thinking in a different angle so I can see if I can see it somewhere in ADMIN end. As mentioned I can definately see the previous order history in the Woocommerce/Orders section that is still there no issues …

    Thanks

    Kristin

Continued on with this issue – more updates for you.

I created a test account so I could login with a TEST customer credentials.

I notice recently that I CANNOT click on the domainname.com.au/customer page where it has the Customer login details so they can login to their Woocommerce account.

I have to click on the TAB button to get to the Username field AND the password field. This is very strange, never seen this before.

We have just had 3 customers who say they CANNOT view their previous orders in their MyAccount. But I have just realised that possibly WHY they cannot is because they CANNOT actually click on the “ORDERS” link in the MyAccount. Nothing is clickable at all on this page. They CANNOT click on the “Dashboard ” in My Account, they cannot click on “Downloads” and “Change Address” in MyAccount either.

This is very strange. I’ve cleared cache so not a browser issue.

    Any ideas please?

    Thanks

    Kristin

    Hi there @kristinubute ??

Thank you for reaching back, with further details on this. I’d like to focus on the following, for a moment:

I’ve never had a client ask about that issue before so NOT sure how to check properly etc on what the customer will see directly at their end when logged in.

I’d recommend trying with the following plugins:

We have just had 3 customers who say they CANNOT view their previous orders in their MyAccount. But I have just realised that possibly WHY they cannot is because they CANNOT actually click on the “ORDERS” link in the MyAccount. Nothing is clickable at all on this page. They CANNOT click on the “Dashboard ” in My Account, they cannot click on “Downloads” and “Change Address” in MyAccount either.

Can you please share screenshots of what you see at those screens? That will help us understand the issue. Feel free to utilize a tool like https://snipboard.io/, for sharing them in the forum.

To get an idea of how your site is configured, could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status, as exemplified here? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

Looking forward to hearing from you!
