Viewing images in the default media library grid view?
-
I would like to create this thread as I have found a particular process very inefficient in regards to inserting large amounts of images in many themes/plugins.
When using the standard ‘add media’ or ‘set featured image’ option on new posts/gallery/project the media library pops up showing a fullscreen scrollable grid with all images thumbs easily view-able ready for insert. The above media library grid view is perfect however when using many themes/plugins the media library view changes when uploading additional images to a page, slide or gallery project. The library view changes to a smaller box with up to 10 very small thumbs shown in a paginated window.
At the moment I have 10 pages to browse through while also having to open individual images to find which thumb is relevant for insert. The pagination is also a problem as only shows surrounding pages, this is a pain when I expect lots more images in the future.
Here is a quick screen to show the two different views…
ScreenI am hoping for a plugin(or fix/hack/mod) which will make choosing/inserting images easier in instances when the user needs to upload multiple images beyond the ‘add media’ & ‘set featured image’ links.
