Hi, I use a lot of different picture galerys within my text content (Beitrag). When you regard this and view for example the first picture which belongs to a galery and then click forward to see the whole galery there is no end and you will see the next galery. So I whish to find a way that after watching the whole galery it will be closed that you could continue with reading on the page up to thze next galery.

Is there a easy solution for this problem?

    Thanks for all your help

    Stefan

the topic should better be: only view the pictures from a single gallery

    Hi @sling22

Can you provide some more context about how you add the images? When I click on an image it looks like all the images are part of a single gallery? Are you using a plugin for these?

Hi Wes, I’m just using the function from WP + gallery.

Or is it from the Them Ashe?

sorry, how could I add a screenshot?

so my gallerys are separatet from different text passages. But I created the gallerys all in a single way and all include different pictures

You can use something like Imgbb, Imgur or another service to share a screenshot.

I can confirm that I replicated your issue using the Lightbox with PhotoSwipe plugin.

I believe one of the plugin authors can shed more light.

Depending on what gallery you are using, you can enable the option “Show WordPress galleries and Gutenberg gallery blocks in separate lightboxes” in the “General” tab to use separate lightbox collections for each gallery.

However this is only possible, if the gallery uses the default shortcut or if you use the default Gutenberg gallery block. For other galleries this is not supported, since there is no standard way to add the neccessary meta data in the gallery output for the frontend. On the other hand, if you tell me what gallery plugin you are using, it may be possible to add the same handling there as well – it just have to check that, but I can’t promise anything.

to add a new gallerys I use this standard function. Think this is from the Theme Ashe or WordPress. But all these different gallerys belong to one big text (Beitrag). May be this is the reason for my problem?

as an example it looks like this:

it looks like that this option:

“Show WordPress galleries and Gutenberg gallery blocks in separate lightboxes”

solves my problem. But only at my computer. This option doesn’t yet solve this on my handy or tablet (android)?

Arno: do you have a solution also for this? That would be great

with also disabling the Lightbox option: Allow infinite loop I solve the problem also for the android devices. But sadly not for all pages.

For my page Einmal Madrid und zurück, bitte – Hinfahrt Frankreich – kalinka everything is fine now.

But for my parallel page Einmal Madrid und zurück, bitte – Spanien – kalinka not? Any idea what else I have to modify?

may be this was a question of time: now eyerything is fine in at devices and platforms! The Lightbox is really a very fine plugin. Thanks for the possibility to use this and all your help.
