Viewing recurring event as single item across a date range

I am using the plugin to make a seasonal calendar. In the month view, is there a way to show a recurring event as a single item across a date range instead of individual items on each date? For example, can I show Christmastide as a single item running from December 25-January 5? Setting it up as a recurring event makes a separate entry on each day, and I would like to see it flowing across the entire calendar as one event.
