Elementor – Header, Footer & Blocks plugin overrides the theme header.

    Therefore,

When testing page with web.dev tool, I get a message:

[user-scalable="no"] is used in the <meta name="viewport"> element or the [maximum-scale] attribute is less than 5.

Can you please make a fix where this plugin does not affect the viewport or add your own viewport with best practices?

    Thanks!

    Hi @ruudiz,

I used a custom Header created using this plugin on my dev site then did a test but didn’t see the same message.

Would you please let us know the steps to replicate this? And also, share with us the live site URL so we can test and see the message directly from our end.

    Kind regards,
    Herman ??

    Hello @bsfherman!

I had 2 sites with the same setup – Hello Theme + Elementor – Header, Footer & Blocks Template.

When testing with web.dev tool, both sites had the same accessibility issue – [user-scalable=”no”] is used in the <meta name=”viewport”> element or the [maximum-scale] attribute is less than 5.

1st site is live. 2nd site was still in the development stage so I switched from Header, Footer & Blocks Template plugin to Elementor Pro headers the problem disappeared for it.

Here is a site that still has the Header, Footer & Blocks Template plugin active – https://watchdistribution.co.uk/, so the problem is still there. Feel free to test it.

    Best Regards,
    Ruudiz

    Hi @ruudiz,

Thank you for sharing with us your live site URL.

I checked the watchdistribution.co.uk homepage and noticed that only the Footer is using the Elementor Header Footer (EHF) plugin. Would you please try using the default theme’s Footer and do another test?

Please let us know how you go.

    Kind regards,
    Herman ??

    Hello @bsfherman!

I am using Hello Theme. I have created a test page and unloaded the EHF plugin for it. Please check – https://www.watchdistribution.co.uk/test/

After disableing EHF plugin and testing with web.dev tool, the problem is not present anymore.

    Thanks!

    Hello @bsfherman!

    Any news regarding this issue?

I had created the same topic some time ago in the Hello Elementor theme support forum and someone had the same issue – https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/hello-theme-viewport-user-scalableno-or-maximum-scale-is-less-than-5/
